If you can never quite get enough done, a Japanese study suggests an unexpectedly effortless way to boost your focus and productivity.
Keep a picture of a cute kitten or puppy on your desk.
Researchers at Hiroshima University found that people are more productive after they look at pictures of cuddly kittens and precious puppies. The team concluded that looking at baby animals makes us work harder.
Because the care of babies requires careful attention and determination to keep away possible threats, the scientists think that photos of these creatures create extra mental focus.
