Deaths In China Linked To Vaccine

The safety of vaccinations continues to spur controversy around the world. And now Chinese authorities are looking into the deaths of seven infants who died after being given a hepatitis B vaccine.

Reuters reports that the Chinese state news agency, Xinhua, has stated that four vaccinated children have died in the province of Guangdong. Others were in Sichuan and Hunan.

In other details, according to the China Daily, Chinese hospitals have stopped giving out the vaccine, which is manufactured by the company BioKangtai. The safety of the medication is being analyzed by China’s Health Ministry.

Reportedly, one newborn died about an hour after receiving the vaccine.
