My younger son absolutely loves apples. I found a recipe for Apple “Cookies” on Rachel Schultz’s blog and adapted it just a tad to suit his taste. I used dark chocolate chips because dark chocolate can improve health and lower the risk of heart disease.
2 tablespoons peanut butter
Dark chocolate chips
1. Slice an apple into thin rings and remove the core.
2. Spread peanut butter on one side of each apple ring.
3. Sprinkle with walnuts, sunflower seeds and dark chocolate chips.
