In the kitchen with Kelley: Stuffed Apples

What child doesn’t love apple slices smeared with peanut butter? It was one of my favorite snacks when I was a child. My kids enjoyed them, too, when they were young. But now that they are older, they don’t eat apple slices with peanut butter all that often. After all, it isn’t exactly a portable snack; and they are often on the go. Luckily, I found a solution.

Stuffed Apples

Ingredients

1 apple
peanut butter (or other nut butter)
dried fruit
sunflower seeds
chopped nuts

Directions

  1. Core the apple, leaving the bottom intact.
  2. Mix together nut butter of your choice with ingredients of your choice.
  3. Stuff the apple.
