In the kitchen with Kelley: Sweet Roasted Chickpeas

When my co-worker shared with me her recipe for roasted chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans), I started researching similar recipes and found a sweet version of this healthy, delicious treat. Since my daughter has an insatiable sweet tooth, this recipe is definitely going into our rotation.

Sweet Roasted Chickpeas

2 12-ounce can chickpeas, drained
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2. Drain chickpeas and pat dry with paper towels.
3. Put the chickpeas in a single layer on a baking tray with sides.
4. Bake for 20 minutes, shaking the pan occasionally.
5. Remove the chickpeas from the oven and toss with maple syrup and cinnamon.
6. Bake for another 10 minutes (total of 30 minutes), shaking the pan occasionally.
