The toxic effects of mold exposure

Of course we’re talking about mold.

It may surprise you to learn just how many types of mold there are and how badly they can damage your body and your health.

The extent of your sensitivity to mold will depend upon your general health, and whether or not you have certain other health conditions already.

The potential health hazards of mold are classified into three types:

  • Allergenic – these molds can cause allergic reactions and asthma attacks
  • Pathogenic – in those already suffering from acute illnesses, these molds cause further health problems
  • Toxigenic – sometimes referred to as “toxic mold,” these molds produce toxic substances that can lead to dangerous or lethal health conditions.
