In the kitchen with Kelley: Raw Apple Crisp

Apples are so good and so good for you. Packed with phytonutrients, apples can help regulate blood sugar. So when you’re craving something sweet, reach for an apple. Here’s a raw apple dessert recipe adapted from Whole Foods that is sure to please the whole family.
Apple Crisp
Ingredients
4 apples, cored and chopped
1/4 cup orange juice, freshly squeezed
3/4 cup pecans
3/4 cup almonds
3/4 cup raisins
3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions
1. Put apples in a serving dish, drizzle with orange juice and toss to coat.
2. In a food processor, combine nuts, raisins and spices and pulse until chopped.
3. Sprinkle the nut mixture on the apple mixture and serve.
