6. Cool down and stretch again
“Doesn’t your body cool down naturally?”
Yes, your body will return to it’s normal state on it’s own. But if you’ve revved up your heart, lungs and temperature and suddenly stop, you could experience a drop in blood pressure, dizziness and headaches.
Also, taking time to stretch during your cool down improves your flexibility and can alleviate some muscle soreness.
Think of the cool down as a way to ease your body back to normal operating mode and squeeze some added benefits from your workout.
