Actinic keratosis

1. Actinic keratoses

The most common form of precancerous skin lesion, actinic keratoses are raised, crusty growths that appear on the skin, usually in clusters. They are a result of sun exposure and/or tanning machines, and more rarely from extended exposure to x-rays.

Left untreated, actinic keratoses can become squamous cell carcinoma, the second most common form of skin cancer.

It’s always a good idea if something pops up to get it looked at.
