Fight thinning hair with castor oil

Are you starting to notice that your hair is thinning? If your locks don’t look or feel as thick and gorgeous as they did when you were younger, join the club…

But not just a hair club for men. Even though 85 percent of men will have significant thinning by the time they turn 50, hair loss isn’t just a “man thing.”

In fact, 40 percent of women have visible hair loss by the time they reach 40, and for them, this can dramatically increase emotional stress.

Men may not be happy about losing their hair, but almost a quarter of women actually equate losing their hair with losing a limb.

The good news is that you can stop worrying about thinning hair. You don’t need to cover it up with a cap or even pay a fortune for those hair plugs (that so often look fake). There is a simple, natural alternative that fights thinning hair, and you can pick it up at your local grocery store.

Peak Golden Oil

Castor oil’s secret

Probably like most people, when you think of castor oil, you think of it as a laxative. But there is so much more that this little dynamo can do. From relief of muscle and joint pain to better sleep and healthier skin, castor oil is one of nature’s secrets that should be in everyone’s medicine cabinet.

Castor oil is a vegetable oil that comes from pressing the seeds of the castor plant, also known as Ricinus communis.  The oil’s anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties are what make it vital to keep on hand.

For your hair, castor oil goes deep into your pores and boosts circulation to your follicles when it is rubbed into the scalp, meaning your hair can actually grow faster.  Add to that castor oil’s rich omega-9 essential fatty acids that condition and moisturize your hair, thereby reducing breakage and split ends, and it’s easy to see why castor oil should be your go-to choice to help bring back your thick, lustrous hair.

And even better, the benefits of castor oil don’t stop at your scalp. For many women as we age, our eyebrows get more and more thin, adding years to our face that we don’t need.

Applying castor oil to your eyebrows will stimulate hair growth just like it does for your scalp, helping you get those fuller, thicker eyebrows that make you look more youthful.

How to use castor oil for thicker, healthier hair

Luckily, castor oil isn’t just effective at stimulating hair growth, it’s also easy to use.

Just lightly warm the oil – never get it too hot, and massage it into your scalp with gentle circular motions for 1-2 minutes. It’s best to do this at night and to wrap your head in a towel to avoid oiling up your pillow. Castor oil can be hard to remove, but if you apply it overnight, most of the oil is absorbed into your scalp.

When you are ready to shower in the morning, massage your regular conditioner into your hair first to break down the oil, then shampoo and lightly condition again.

Prior to using the oil, be sure to do a small skin patch test just to make sure you aren’t sensitive.  A few people may develop a rash, but if you don’t have a reaction, castor oil should be safe to use a couple of times a week..

For your eyebrows, you can use a swab or cotton ball to apply the oil.  Again, it’s best to apply it each night before you go to bed.

With castor oil a part of your beauty routine, you can stop worrying about thinning hair and regain the beautiful, thick hair you want the easy, natural way.
