The Hawaiian cancer cure that works better than chemo

The mainstream cancer cures are just not working against the deadliest of cancers, like lung cancer.  With more than 1.6 million dying from this killer each year, isn’t it time the medical establishment collectively accepts what a handful of researchers already know?

And that is… to find any real hope on the horizon for those with lung cancer… and possibly other types of cancer as well — it’s not going to come from modern medicine… but from ancient wisdom.

There are two main reasons that lung cancer is so deadly…

Part of the reason is because people don’t usually experience any symptoms until it’s already pretty advanced. And even then they might only experience a cough or lung pain that can easily be mistaken for bronchitis or asthma.

Another reason is that those suffering from the disease aren’t being offered effective treatment options from their oncologists.

Fact: The most common form of lung cancer, known as non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), is notoriously resistant to chemotherapy and radiotherapy — and that’s pretty much all modern medicine has to offer in the way of cancer treatments besides surgery.

Still, doctors continue to do the same old things, forcing patients to undergo outdated and ineffective treatments.

But a recent study published in the journal Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry found that an extract from the leaf of the Noni plant was more effective at treating metastasized lung cancer than Erlotinib, one of the most popular chemotherapy drugs used to treat the disease.

Even more amazingly, researchers found that noni killed cancer cells without poisoning healthy cells… something chemo definitely cannot do.

Secret of the ancients

Not surprisingly, the Noni plant, a traditional Hawaiian medicinal plant, has long been revered by Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders.  It’s known as a canoe plant — that means it’s one of two dozen plants that Hawaiians brought with them on migrations. And noni was the only one used primarily for medicinal purposes.

Historically, it’s been used by these communities to treat everything from cuts to cancer. In fact, it’s pretty much viewed as a health panacea that can help with most, if not all, health issues.

This recent study is not the first, or the last, to show noni’s effects against cancer. Research at The University of Hawaii at Manoa found the roots of the noni plant to inhibit the spread of lung cancer in mice in studies.

Due to this regional significance, another group of researchers, this time at the University of Hawaii Cancer Center, have also decided to dig into the plants healing properties. Their study is focusing on the fruit of the plant, instead of the leaf extract, to see if it will benefit early-stage prostate cancer.

“There has been such strong belief through generations of Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders that the noni fruit possesses healing properties. Past laboratory research found anti-cancer properties in noni extract. In our current Phase II study, we want to see if these properties will work in a specific type of cancer,” said Jeffrey Huang, Pharm D., Principal Investigator and Assistant Specialist in the Clinical Sciences and Translational Research Program at the University of Hawaii Cancer Center.

So clearly all parts of the noni plant have the potential to benefit your health in a cancer-killing, life-changing way. But why?

Most likely the Noni plant’s amazing healing properties likely come from its high content of phytonutrients, antioxidants, vitamin C (a proven cancer killer) and potassium. Many fruits and vegetables contain these nutrients and it’s why they should make up most of your regular diet.

But if you’re ready to say yes to noni, you can go to your local health food store where you can buy noni in a few different forms: noni fruit juice, noni tea, noni powder and noni capsules. Considering noni’s track record when it comes to killing cancer cells and boosting your overall health, it’s definitely worth it.
