In a study done by researchers at Ataturk Teaching and Research Hospital in Turkey, a group of men ages 38 to 59 who had erectile dysfunction ate 100 grams of pistachios at lunch every day for three weeks.

While maintaining similar dietary habits in every other way, the men showed significant improvement in erectile function. One reason is likely the high content of the amino acid arginine, which boosts blood flow by boosting nitric oxide, which relaxes blood vessels.
