5 health problems your feet warn you about
1. Numbness, pain and tingling
Pain, tingling, or numbness in your feet could be a sign of diabetic neuropathy. This is when your blood sugar problems have resulted in damage to the nerves so their signaling mechanism goes haywire.
If you’re having any of these problems, it’s important to talk to your doctor, get tested, and work to better manage your blood sugar.
Now, we just said that diabetic neuropathy could cause numbness, pain, and tingling. But, if you have neuropathy it should also be noted that you could not feel pain at all — even when you should.
So, if you walk into a door and stub your toe but feel nothing, don’t ignore it simply because it doesn’t hurt.
