3. Curcumin reduces the risk of heart disease in diabetics
Turmeric is known to improve blood sugar levels and reduce insulin resistance.
Type 2 diabetes also affects the way the body metabolizes fat, often resulting in excess fat in the blood, known as dyslipidemia. This puts diabetics at higher risk for coronary artery disease.
