Red tea: kills cancer and lowers cholesterol

South Africans have long used red bush tea, or rooibos tea, for medicinal purposes. It decreases inflammation and oxidative stress and is known to promote cell death (apoptosis) in cancer cells.

In addition, consuming red tea was followed by significant increases in HDL cholesterol and decreases in harmful LDL and triglycerides.
